Employee Spotlight - Rishi Duggal

What does your job entail?

As the Engineering Manager, I oversee a team of Engineers at NTM-GB, part of NTM group. My role is to co-ordinate and manage all Engineering matters within the company. Main areas include; Sales, Production and Aftersales support, new projects and homologation. I also liaise with head office in Finland and the Group on both existing and new products as well as communicate with overseas customers to best understand their needs and legislation.

What keeps you motivated?

The Waste Industry is constantly changing, for me this removes the repetitive nature of work that can be said for other industries. Due to the wide scope and bespoke nature of our products, there is plenty of variety to the job. At NTM we thrive on innovation and development, so there is always a new Project to be involved with. Additionally, with evolving RCV standards and legislation, there are welcomed challenges in incorporating these into both existing and new products.

How would you describe your team?

I have a range of experience within the team ranging from 12 months to 12 years. There are those who have started with NTM from the beginning, and others who are new to the company and industry. This gives a perfect blend of new ideas, and historic knowledge. We also have a range of skills throughout the department where each individual has their specialist areas but are also flexible enough to cover each other when required.
